Famous Hair is a hair and beauty lounge based in London, initially created in 2016 by a mother and son passionate about bringing Afro-Caribbean hair styling to the Bromley area.

The Challenge & Result

Famous Hair contacted us for a rebrand and refurbishment of their old Wixsite.

Famous Hair still wanted to retain the star in their original logo but still allowed us to create something unique, professional, yet, outstanding. In addition, we wanted the font used to be the prominent face of the logo, so we sought to use one that had a unique element but was bold. The fond Federo, known for its sophistication, was used as the predominant piece of the logo, with the star implemented to give a bespoke feel to the logo. Lastly, we changed the original colours of Famous Hairs logo to gold, offering it a more premium and luxurious feel, which is what Famous wanted to go for.

The Result

After we gave Famous a fresh new look, our crafty Web Designers got to work to create Famous their desired website. We wanted to prioritise the seamlessness of booking an appointment, so we decided to go for a one-page website that Famous loved. We determined this would make it easy for users to find all information about Famous and make a booking. Where Famous were finding it hard for their customers to book appointments, the fully responsive website we created for them increased their bookings by 147%, leading to more than 270 bookings month on month for their Hair salon.

The Chris Mbulu Trust

The CM Trust is a team made up of Chris’ family and friends who have joined forces to create a charity that focuses on educating and empowering the next generation.

The Challenge & Result

In loving memory of Christian Mbulu, the team entrusted us to create a home where users can view their charitable services and appreciate the portrayal and story of the late professional footballer, Chris Mbulu.
Our crafty individuals carefully designed a website that captures what The charity represents, their charitable efforts, and the memories of Chris, all in one bespoke and fully-responsive website.

Optimising the website helped increase their donations by 115.7% and made it easier for users to reach them on Google, with 47.9% of organic traffic coming from searching for the name ‘Christian Mbulu.’

AAB trusted us to design & develop a modern and unique website for their production company. We first immersed ourselves in the brand’s personality to understand its target audience to help envision the user experience. As well as prioritising aesthetics, we wanted to ensure that users were aware of the several services, events and charity donations required, which was essential to AAB.

We designed AAB, a modern, cutting-edge and optimised website that helped AAB thrive in a highly competitive industry. Our website offered them a professional brand face, gained them 137.9% more donations online and increased their enquiries for events by 25.3%.

Z-Effect Marketing entrusted us with creating a unique brand identity to rival their competition. In addition, They wanted a custom-made website that could offer their users an immersive experience and make it easy to book a call. Our team of creatives developed Z-Effect, a powerful stand-out logo which depicts both the Z and E. The gradient colours offered a techy feel to the brand’s identity, which we wanted for the social media agency.

Big Bite Socials challenged us to create their brand image, identity and website. The social media agency wanted to go for something fun but also luxurious, as their target audience was mainly Michelin-star restaurants. As a result, we first curated a clean, minimal, but bold logo that depicts exactly what they represent but also embodies class. The bold B with the bite out of it was crafted to look exactly like a B which was an excellent play on the name.

The Challenge & Result

From only operating offline, Village Education wanted us to create an e-commerce website and a new logo for their educational brand. The company wanted a logo that stressed education but was professional, clean and minimalistic. Our web and branding team listened to their needs and delivered a brand image/identity and website that reflected the wants of Village Education.

Our team developed a fully responsive Shopify site that helped with their conversion rate and increased their sales by 57.3%, bringing in over 30 new monthly customers. In addition, our fully optimised site allowed them to rank higher on Google bringing in more than 5% of sales from organic search alone. With the end user in mind, parents unfamiliar with purchasing products online, we ensured that it was easy for them to access all products by using appropriate CTA buttons where applicable.

Concerning branding, Baloo 2 Font was the main staple for the Village Education logo. This font is known for its ‘affable’ nature, which complements the Village Education ethos. In addition, the warm feeling of the Baloo 2 Font establishes an instant caring and welcoming feel to the brand, capturing the hearts of many parents that come into contact with Village Education.

The Challenge & Result

Black Essence London came to us to create a logo for them that brings out the ‘essence’ of beauty but also gives off a luxurious feel. So our team of creatives got to work and designed an attractive yet bold and minimal logo to stand out against the competition. We saw the opportunity to use the letter B as a silhouette of a woman with hair to retain the salon and beauty image of Black Essence, which their team absolutely adored!

The fully responsive website we created for Black Essence gained a 13.7% conversion rate and a 119.7% increase in sales, considering they had been operating solely offline before. Furthermore, using optimised keywords, we were also able to help them rank higher on Google, boosting their presence in a highly competitive industry and leading to a 33% uplift in organic traffic.

Typography

Montserrat was the main font used for the letters B & E in the main symbol, which gave it that modern yet professional, bold look. Lastly, using Gruppo as the type for the wordmark gave the logo a sophisticated, premium tone.
